Keep moving this fall. Come to a Fit Walks social walking hour to walk, talk and win prizes with friends and family. Dates and locations include:
“Walking helps decrease blood pressure, reduce body fat, lower the risk of heart-disease, reduce stress levels, and it also releases natural endorphins that promote the feeling of happiness,” states David Covell, MPH, RS, Lorain County General Health District (LCGHD) health commissioner.
No membership is required and all ages are invited to join. Join a walk whenever you have time in your schedule; a weekly commitment is not necessary. Fit Walks is sponsored by LCGHD, the WOBL and WDLW radio stations, and the Lorain County Metro Parks.
