ONE Lorain County and Lorain County Public Health seek proposals for Housing Study and Action Plan

ONE Lorain County (OLC) and Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) are seeking proposals from individuals or firms to conduct a comprehensive Housing Study and Action Plan for Lorain County. This crucial project aims to ensure that housing opportunities are available for households of all types, ages, and income levels across Lorain County. 

This Request for Proposal (RFP) invites qualified firms with experience in community housing issues to contribute to the future well-being of Lorain County. The need for this study is driven by the 2025 Lorain County Community Health Assessment (CHA), the Lorain County Strategic Action Plan, and resident feedback, which consistently identifies housing as a top need. Housing is a fundamental component of community health, and affordable housing is a vital link to economic development and quality of life. 

The Housing Study and Action Plan is designed to analyze the existing housing stock, identify gaps, and develop strategies to address current and future housing needs. It can also guide decisions related to the allocation of public funds and other resources, including land use and zoning.
