Request For Proposal: Infant & Maternal Health
Lorain County Public Health Seeks Proposals to Improve Infant and Maternal Health
Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) is requesting proposals for its Community and Faith-based Infant and Maternal Health Support Services. This funding opportunity is designed to support the unique work of community and faith-based organizations as they implement local projects to improve infant and maternal health outcomes. These organizations serve as trusted partners for pregnant women and families of infants in Lorain County.
The goal of this initiative is to decrease infant mortality. Funding is contingent on LCPH receiving a notice of award from the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), which is providing the funding.
Organizations can apply for up to $149,000, with a minimum award of $30,000.
The funding will support physical and social services that strengthen areas such as access to prenatal healthcare, quality education, community connection, financial stability, and housing quality. The proposals will be reviewed by LCPH staff, and selected applications will be included in the LCPH proposal submitted to DCY by October 2, 2025.
