Before that next business trip, study abroad experience, or international family vacation, make an appointment at Lorain County Public Health’s travel clinic. Traveling exposes people to new and exciting sights, smells, and tastes, but it can also expose them to diseases they’ve never encountered. Get the vaccines, education specific to your destination, and other resources for travelers at a travel clinic.

Call +1 (440) 284-3206 to schedule a travel appointment with your health department.

Travel topics, including the following, will be discussed:

  • Altitude sickness
  • Insect dangers
  • Food and water precautions
  • Recommended vaccines
  • Your desitination's U.S. embassy location and phone number

Public health staff review each traveler’s medical history and address any concerns about how to manage current health conditions in a foreign country. The appointment also includes a review of each stop along the traveler’s journey and any potential risks at each location.

Travelers leave their appointment vaccinated and equipped with a folder full of helpful information and education about their destination.
