Workplaces Step it Up this September

Posted on: July 17, 2017

Compete against other workplaces – “Step it Up” and participate in a county-wide walking challenge. Employees join as a team, keep track of their steps, win prizes, and start healthy habits that can increase productivity and creativity at work.

Learn the details of the “Step it Up” challenge and how to join at the Lorain County Wellness Network Meeting on Thursday, August 10, 2017, 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Amherst Beaver Creek Reservation, 913 N. Lake St., Amherst. Or, call 440-322-6367 for more information.

In many jobs, it can be difficult to stay physically active throughout the day. Small changes such as walking on a break, walking meetings, or taking the stairs can help increase daily physical activity while at work. The “Step it Up” challenge will demonstrate how small changes can increase walking at work to improve overall health.

Track steps at Prizes awarded for highest average team step count, most improved team step average, and team spirit at the November 2 Lorain County Wellness Network meeting at The AbbeWood, 1210 S. Abbe Rd., Elyria at 7:30 a.m.
