Understand your blood test results

Blood test results often appear as a jumble of letters and numbers. This June, take control of your health and learn how to understand blood test results. Public health nurses from the Lorain County General Health District (LCGHD) will answer questions and provide information about blood test results during educational sessions. These no-cost sessions are at several community locations throughout Lorain County. All Lorain County adults ages 55 and older are invited. “For those who had blood drawn with our nurses last month, this is a great opportunity to review results one-on-one,” explains David Covell, RS, MPH, health commissioner at LCGHD. “Even if you didn’t get your blood drawn with us, bring results from any other blood draw you’ve done and your nurse will help you understand the numbers.”
